Basedonauditoryperipheralsimulationmodel,anewSoundQualityObjectiveEvaluation(SQOE)methodispresented,whichcanbeusedtomodelandanalyzetheimpactsofhead,shoulderandotherpartsofhumanbodyonsoundwavetrans-mission.Thismethodemploystheartificialheadtechnique,inwhichtheheadrelatedtransferfunctionwastakenintoaccounttotheouterearsimulationphase.First,abionicartificialheadwasdesignedastheouterearmodelwithconsideringtheoutersoundfieldinviewoftheoryandphysicalexplanations.Thentheauditoryperipheralsimulationmodelwasbuilt,whichmimicsthephysiologicalfunctionsofthehumanhearing,simulatingtheacousticsignaltransferprocessandconversionmechanismsfromthefreefieldtotheperipheralauditorysystem.Finally,performancecomparisonwasmadebetweentheproposedSQOEmethodandArtemiSsoftware,andtheverificationsofsubjectiveandobjectiverelatedanalysisweremade.Resultsshowthattheproposedmethodwaseconomical,simple,andwithgoodevaluationquality.
