简介:Thetextpresentedispartofthestudy“Evaluationofpostgraduate(PG)educationinBrazil,Portugal,andSpain”andanalyzesthefiveBrazilianNationalPlansofPosgraduateStudies(inportuguese:PlanoNacionaldePós-Graduacao—PNPG),specificallyevaluatingtherelationshipamonginternationalization,integration,anddevelopmentregionalrelations,inBrazil’srelationswithitsneighborsinLatinAmericaandtheCaribbean.Usingresearchmethodologyfromthefieldofknowledgeofcomparativeeducation,itseekstoconstructthreeresearchaxesinordertoproposeananalyticalcategorizationonthefollowingepistemologicalactions:torelatethehistoricalcontextofeachBrazilianPNPGtotheconceptsofregionaldevelopmentandintegration,especiallywithrespecttonationalneedsfortheexpansionandrenewalofscienceandtechnology;tryingtoshowtheevolutionofPGcoursesandprograms(specificallymaster’sanddoctoralcourses);andalsoinIVandVPNPG,toanalyzethedirectionthattheinternationalizationobjectivehastakenandwhichregionalintegrationproposalsarepresentintheplanningdocuments.Preliminarily,wecanaffirmthat,althoughBrazilincorporatedthediscourseofregionalintegrationinitsnationalplans,especiallyintheso-called“national-developmentalist”decades,onlyfromtheendofthe20thcenturydidthethemeappearmoreobjectivelyandfocusedonrealactionsregardingevolutionofpost-graduation.
